When I type in a word or email address in the advance search it only returns one result - although I know there are many  Notezilla  sticky notes that have the word or email address in them. I have ticked the boxes for "Any words" and "Content" and have left unchecked the boxes for match whole word or case. In the bottom right of the screen it tells me there are 23 notes - but I can only see one. I cannot scroll down to find any others, nor is anything hidden behind the first note (which I can move around on the screen).  How do i find all the search results ?

Look at the double bar shown using the arrow below .

Move your mouse there and pull it down to see all the  Notezilla  sticky notes.
