Quite happy with  RecentX  - gets many to most recently used or saved files (with a few exceptions, especially when new files are saved from within certain applications). I have the need to drag and drop not the files themselves but links of the files to a folder. Scenario: Take a couple of the recently used files and put links of them into a folder for quick restart via PowerShell script. Is this possible (pasting / drag-dropping) links only? Shift/Ctrl don't work in the usual way for me in order to do so.

Hold shift key (for Windows File Explorer menu) and right click and choose "Create shortcut". This is little longer approach than Ctrl+Shift.

It will create a shortcut in the containing folder.

This is just a workaround possible with  RecentX .
