Sticky notes appear on Windows desktop even after unchecking "Stick to Desktop"

I have noticed that my sticky notes on my Windows desktop seem to stay stuck on the desktop even when I put them in the home or work memo board in  Notezilla . In the drop down menu, I have tick the box that I no longer need the note on the desktop, or have trashed the sticky. When I reboot or start up computer the stickies come back from the dead .. Yep right there on my desktop and not in the trash or in one of the memo boards.

It may be possible that the sticky notes in  Notezilla  are stuck to one or more windows. This is the reason they may show up on desktop.

Can you go back to the stickies that come back from from dead, select one of the sticky note, click on the top left menu and choose 'Stick To Window' option from the menu. Do you see if the sticky note is stuck to any window? You can deselect the windows from the 'Stick To Window' dialog box and press OK. This will disassociate the sticky note with any of the windows.

Also make sure that the 'Stick To Desktop' option is un-ticked in the note menu.
